EVICR.net announces new CEO appointment

EVICR.net is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Sanches Fernandes as its new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Cecília Martinho and building on her dedicated leadership and significant contributions to the network.

Daniel Sanches Fernandes brings more than 20 years of experience in health research and development, project and network management and a strong commitment to advancing high-quality, multinational clinical research in ophthalmology. In this role the new CEO will lead EVICR.net’s strategic development and support its mission to strengthen the capacity of the European Union to study ophthalmic diseases and to develop and optimise diagnostic, preventive, and therapeutic strategies.

EVICR.net is a unique network of ophthalmological clinical research sites dedicated to conducting multinational clinical research at the highest standards of quality. The network operates in accordance with European and international clinical research directives, using harmonised Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure excellence, consistency, and regulatory compliance across all studies.
